Remembering Mom

That is my mom in the photo. She passed away in 2010, and I miss her. I’m thinking about her for this Mother’s Day, and I’m grateful for the many gifts she gave me.

My mom was a character and not a milk-and-cookie housewife. The term free spirit perfectly defines this opera diva turned mother of three. She wasn’t going to be tamed by anyone, and that is the first gift she gave me, be your own person no matter what anyone says.
